Scottish Highlands & Jacobite Train

Scotland is easily my favorite place in the world. I got a glimpse of it back in February when I started hiking the highland way with a friend but once we drove up to Fort William from Glasgow, it's hard to deny that Scotland is one of the most beautiful countries I've ever seen.

Our trip started in Ireland and while I was impressed with the Wild Atlantic Way, I was more blown away by the highlands in Scotland. Something about the beautiful scenery and the people make Scotland a place I want to keep going back to. I also, eventually, want to hike the highland way which spans from Glasgow to Inverness, I believe.

While in Fort William, we were fortunate enough to take a round-trip ride on the Jacobite Train which people most often refer to as the Hogwarts Express. I was obsessed with this train ride and I think it actually exceeded my expectations. Below are a few of my favorite photos from the train ride and throughout the highlands. I will also be adding a new photography page to my blog because I've taken so many gorgeous (I think) nature shots here recently and I don't want to share them all in one, singular blog post. So stay tuned for that!

If you are wondering what our itinerary was for our ten day trip through Ireland, Scotland and England, you can check that out in my previous post as well as what to pack for your trip abroad!

While on the road, we were fortunate enough to stay at the Fort William Backpackers Hostel. It was absolutely beautiful! Probably my favorite place I've ever stayed, honestly. It had the best views and was right near the train station. So, if you are traveling through Fort William and need a place to crash - I highly, highly recommend this place.

Below is the video of our travels through the Scottish Highlands. As I mentioned previously, I am going to start a photography page so you can see more of Scotland and other places I've traveled, so stay tuned and I will provide a link to it here in the next few days.

I highly, highly recommend traveling through the highlands when visiting Scotland. I think you will be as blown away as I was and you are never going to want to leave - just like I didn't.

Be sure to watch the video and share it with your friends so they can experience a little bit of Scotland as well!

Let's be social!
